The latest issue of "Men's Health Best Life" highlights a recent study (--from the National Opinion Research Center) on the factors that lead people to cheat on their significant other.  Here's what they found:

--When men were asked if they would cheat . . .

. . . 22% said they would cheat as revenge if their significant other was cheating on them.

. . . 12% said they would cheat if they could get away with it.

. . . 4% would cheat if they weren't getting along with their partner.

. . . 9% said they would cheat if it was with a celebrity.  

. . . Fortunately, 53% of men said they are faithful and would NEVER cheat.

--But if they DID cheat, here's who they would cheat with . . .

. . . 13% of men would have an affair with a co-worker.

. . . 13% with a stranger.

. . . 11% would cheat with an ex.

. . . 8% with a prostitute.

. . . And 7% of men said they would cheat with one of their significant other's hot friends.

--So . . . at what age is someone most likely to cheat?

. . . 13% of people between 18 and 29 are currently having an affair or have recently cheated. 

. . . 20% of people between 40 and 49 cheat.

. . . And 10% of people over 70 cheat.

--The study also found that 13% of women and 22% of men admit to cheating . . . even though 80% of Americans believe cheating is wrong.  (Men's Health Best Life)
